My Story
My name is Michelle Alencar. I've been acquainted with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since the year 2000, when I met my now husband, Vagner Boca. Before all that, I had never heard about Jiu-Jitsu, but from that moment on this sport became a constant part of my life and it ultimately became a way of life, through which I got to know amazing places and people I can now call family. I've always been passionate about a healthy lifestyle and fitness; however due to my father's influence, I ended up obtaining a degree in Architecture and Urbanism, a profession that gave me a lot of knowledge, which I practiced for about 7 years, but it wasn't my true passion. After having my second child, I joined the University of Nutrition and that's where I found myself... Throughout this process, Jiu-Jitsu was a constant part of my days. I was always my husband's right hand person in the organization of our academy and team in Brazil. The training sessions were intense, but I always made time to embrace the role of mother and housewife. I have always accompanied my husband and the whole team in state, national and even international championships. I have always been supportive of him in the best way that I could. Through my training, I managed to earn my blue belt. Today I intend to continue this great project, along with the career of Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach that I'm building here in the US.
